1049 - An Afternoon at Mirador Park in Baguio City.
Good day once again dearest Hiveans across the globe! Happy Thursday to you all. We’ve now reached that wonderful point in the week and the bright weekend is coming clearly into view. May your Thursday be both productive and chilling calm that's setting a perfect mood for the days ahead. Enjoy every moment!
And moving on to our daily shots that afternoon of our two night stay in Baguio when we decided to explore the famous Mirador Park, known for its beautiful gardens and panoramic views of the city outskirts. After paying a one hundred peso entrance fee per person, I my wife and Dreb, a friend, stepped through the gates which was a different and quieter world right in the middle of busy Baguio City. The air was cool and carried the fresh scent of plants.
Our first stop was the stunning skinny bamboo forest. It was like walking into a scene from a movie. The bamboo stalks were tall and straight and also dense with lots of green canopy high above our heads. We couldn't resist taking lots of photos here, trying to capture the perfect angle 😂.
As we continued our walk, we passed by numerous flower beds with different colors. There were vibrant blooms in shades of pink, red, and yellow. The flowers added bright splashes of colors and we paused again to appreciate their beauty and took a few more pictures.
Soon, we arrived at the park's famous spot which is the Mirador Torii Gate. It's a beautiful red Japanese kind of style gate stood on a hill with a fantastic photo backdrop. However, we saw that there was a very long line of visitors patiently waiting for their turn to take a picture standing right under the gate. I estimated the wait would be at least an hour or more due to long and slow phase of people taking shots. So we decided that standing in that long line for some photos wasn't how we wanted to spend our precious time on so instead, we looked around for other interesting spots. We noticed a set of unique, circular chairs scattered nearby and had no line. We sat down and took turns posing for photos and we were able to relax and enjoy the moment without any pressure or waiting.
