1066 - Ambuklao Dam Shots for Wednesday.

Good morning once again dearest Hiveans across the globe! This Wednesday is our bridge between a strong start and a successful finish to the oncoming weekend😉. Let’s support one another here and keep the positive momentum going even if the markets are red. Wishing you a Wednesday that is peaceful😍.

Moving on to our daily shots,right after spending a night in the quiet, and high up town of Kabayan and finishing our morning hike of Mount Tabayoc, we began our journey back towards Baguio city. Almost near, we decided to take a little side trip, since it was on the road we made a stop at the massive Ambuklao Dam in Benguet. We pulled over and took a small detour around four in the afternoon.

The first thing that struck our friend Dandreb was the size of the dam since it's his first time seeing, my wife and I it's already our third. The dam is a huge wall of concrete holding back an enormous water that stretched far into the valleys between mountains. The afternoon sky was still bright and clear while the air was starting to cool.

The scene was still peaceful as before our first two chance of visiting. The water was a deep, reflecting the green mountains and the afternoon sky. We saw a few small motorboat parked on the wide expanse of water near the shore. They were there for tourists like us but they were also a vital part of daily life to ferry working residents from one side of the dam to the other where they live.

The lighting was perfect for pictures so we took out our phones to capture the dramatic landscape. We took photos of the massive dam structure, the beautiful lake by the mountains and me with the beautiful marvel as backdrop.

It was just a brief stop on our way to the city of pines, maybe only twenty minutes but it left a strong impression especially to our companion. It was the perfect way to break the long drive and giving us one last beautiful memory of Benguet's Ambuklao dam.
