Hello FOH community I am happy to have found this community that is truly pinoy and makes me feel I really belong.
Undas just happened right and this year, I felt I must do something extra special for my parents now that I have been busy focusing on one of my interests which is DIY and arts. Well both my parents are gone now, and preparing for this day is really important for me. Instead of buying just any bouquet, I decided to do the flowers myself. As you can see, I love to do DIY all sorts of things, and this is just one of them
I spent my evenings with the colorful pipe cleaners, twisting and shaping them into these colorful and lasting blooms. You can see the final arrangements here: the bright red and yellow anthuriums , and the deep pink flowers some tulips and others that I just tried experimenting on. It was truly a labor of love. The process was slow as I watched countless tutorials online, and it gave me the quiet time I needed to just sit and remember them. Because these flowers will not wilt nor fade, which is a very beautiful thought to leave at their resting place.
What I did not expect was the response from my friends when I started posting about my progress, some close friends immediately noticed the arrangements and actually made orders from me, It was not just for Undas, you know. I had friends who ordered the arrangements for personal gifts, like one friend who gave it to her own mother. I was so happy! It is just amazing how a personal project that came from love suddenly turned into a little source of livelihood but this is just a side project not counting much on it.
Placing this final, unique arrangement for my parents was a very emotional moment for me. We all know that Undas is more than just a holiday. It is about remembering that while our loved ones are not with us physically, their love and memories are never forgotten. And now, those memories have helped me spark a little business, too. :)
I hope your Undas will also be very meaningful
