❖ Take the Chair ❖
"Take the chair," he told me in a voice that sounded like a whisper, and as always, I obeyed. And here I am sitting in this white room with no one but my thoughts, no smells or sounds beyond his voice. After sitting down, the phrase floated in the air, my ears waiting for the next command. I sat down, perhaps in that act of reaffirmation, because sitting and remaining motionless went beyond simple rest.
The chair is always there waiting for me. It's not a comfortable chair, nor an elegant one, nor one of an intricate or unique design; it's simply a chair. But a chair I've avoided sitting on for so long. I always preferred, instead of sitting, to simply stand and pretend not to see it!
I wonder what will happen now that I've sat down. Will I still be the same? Or do I have the right, after everything I've done, to sit still? Today, I don't know if this white room and this chair are a safe place or a punishment awaiting judgment.
But today I decided to listen to the voice and I decided to sit down, I'm sorry, the world doesn't change, but I do, and sitting I look at my destiny, and I remember and decide, tomorrow I will doubt whether to sit down again, I will feel again that this is not my place, until a voice tells me: take the chair.

❖ Toma la Silla ❖
Toma la silla-me dijo en una voz que parecía un susurro, y yo como siempre hice caso, y aquí estoy sentado en esta blanca habitación sin más nadie que mis pensamientos, sin olores y sin sonidos más allá de su voz, después de sentarme la frase quedó flotante en el aire y mis oídos a la espera de la siguiente orden. Me senté quizás en ese acto de reafirmación porque sentarme y permanecer inmóvil iba más allá del simple descanso.
La silla siempre está ahí esperándome, no es una silla cómoda, ni elegante, ni de un diseño intrincado o único, es simplemente una silla, ¡Pero una silla que he evitado por tanto tiempo sentarme, siempre prefería en lugar de sentarme simplemente estar de pie fingiendo que no la veía!
Me pregunto que pasará ahora que me senté, ¿seguiré siendo el mismo? ¿o acaso tengo derecho después de todo lo que he hecho a estar sentado? Hoy no se si esta habitación blanca y esta silla es lugar seguro o castigo ante la espera del juicio.
Pero hoy decidí escuchar la voz y decidí sentarme , lo siento, el mundo no cambia, pero yo sí, y sentado miro mi destino, y recuerdo y decido, mañana dudaré si volver a sentarme, volveré a sentir que este no es mi lugar, hasta que una voz me diga: toma la silla.
