Sunset in Salzburg, on my last trip day in the city, I visited the Capuchin Monastery, which is located high up on the Kapuzinerberg and, with its simple architecture, has a significant effect on the cityscape of Mozart's city. From the here, you have an overwhelming view over the roofs of Salzburg. Here a few shots on the way there. you can see looking over the city the Salzach River, domes of charches and mountains in the background.he Hohensalzburg Fortress perched high on its hill. around trees of Kapuzinerberg rustle quiety into evening peaceful calm.

A sunset from here is truly breathtaking, the sun begins to sink behind the alps and the city below glows in warm golden light. In any case, when you're in Salzburg, don't miss a walk up here on the hill it's definitely worth it. The monastery was foundet about 1599 by the capucin order, today is still houses a small community of Capichin friars.

It is a moderately easy walk about 20 Min. from the city, but it feels like stepping into another world, quiet and full of history with one of the best views in Austria.

accros the water, the old town shimmers, church domes, spires, and the baroque rooftops of the city are bathed in soft lights.

Have a great Day!
