Heroes Convention Charlotte North Carolina

Heroes Convention is a comic-focused comic book convention, and hundreds of artist and creators were selling their art and indie comic books.

I came back with a haul of comics - Phenomenova by Vaughn Coleman, Omega Girl by Twitless, Kyrie by Matt Crotts, and The People by - Zaid Comics.

Heroes Convention did see some controversy between Dan Fraga, and Comicsgate's Shane Davis. Fraga and Davis had a tense exchange, at a previous convention. Fraga approached Davis to shake his hand and was rebuffed. The recounting of the story was apparently exaggerated by Davis, and became YouTube drama fodder for several days. Mike S. While the even was turned into clickbait for YouTube it had no observable carryover or benefit to the current crowdfunding campaign by Shane Davis for "Annatomic: Welcome to the Arena". The crowdfunding campaign added negligible backers during and immediately after the Convention, and approximately 100 total in the past 10-day period.

Comicsgate Will Not Produce a $100,000+ Campaign in the First Half of 2025.

Comicsgate past crowdfunding successes have not carried over to 2025, and the year is on pace to be the slowest yet for the crowdfunding group. Annatomic by Shane Davis is currently at $76,818 and will likely reach the six-figure mark, but not until July 2025 at the earliest.

Ethan Van Sciver has launched an unfortunately named "Master Racers Campaign" on FundMyComic.com for Comicsgate themed collectible cars. After several days the campaign had raised $4,015 from 50 backers.

Rippaverse Comics Passes the 90,000+ Mark for Book Sold in 2025

Driven this past week by the success of "Norfrica: Glorious Death" collection campaign, the Rippaverse has sold over 90,000 graphic novels and comic books in 2025 from collection campaigns. Eric July and musician Dan Vasc released a "Glorious Death" and it quickly climbed to the top of Amazon's charts in both the heavy metal, and rock categories.

As of June 26, 2025 - Rippaverse Comics had total sales of approximately $3,148,491 on orders of 90,901 graphic novels and comic books.
