Helping Proxies Promote Themselves

EOS Vote Proxy Research Portal

Aloha, friends!

When building our Vote Proxy Research Portal, we found there is a lack of easily accessible information about proxy accounts. For example, who are they and what are their criteria for selecting candidates? Unlike block producers, where voters can see a BP’s website and bp.json file with a wealth of associated information, proxies have no equivalent. All voters can see is the proxy account name and for whom the proxy voted.

Today we are excited to introduce a small dApp called EOS Proxy Info. This is our solution for collecting more information in an open and unbiased manner. It is optionally submitted by proxy accounts, where the data is ultimately available for anyone to view or republish. Think of it like bp.json but for proxies, and on-chain.

If you are a proxy trying to promote yourself, consider visiting EOS Proxy Info on GitHub for instructions about how to register more information for the community to see. We also welcome feedback and/or pull requests.

Until next time, Mahalo!

P.S. We would like recognize and thank EOS Nation and their Community Engagement Fund for graciously funding the initial RAM purchase to publish this dApp.
