The Vibes community just concluded the 39th week of the Vibes web3 music competition and the winners have been announced. My heartfelt congratulations to all the winners. In this post I'm going to write about a presentation that stood out for me in week 39 and that's the presentation by @bobbydones.

He sure deserved to win, he's performance was quite professional. I enjoyed listening to him sing. I'm going to talk about a few things I like about his performance and how other participants can learn from that.

What @BobbyDones Got Right In His Presentation In The Vibes Web3 Music Competition Week 39 And What Other Participants Can Learn From That

He Got The Basics Right: Yes, he certainly did. And by the basics I mean the quality of his voice, the quality of the backing track. Both his voice and the backing track were clear, you could hear them well. They weren't faint and one wasn't louder than the other.

Participants can learn from that that they should do everything to upgrade the quality of their voice. They can take some voice training lessons, etc. Then they can invest in decent recording equipments that will help them achieve a decent sound quality, like mics, mixing apps, etc.

His Dexterous Manipulation Of Pitch: At certain times during his performance, his voice went up and at some it came down, and he did it in such a way that it added a extra layer of feeling and emotions to his song. There are singers who do this in such a way that makes their music dull.

Dexterous manipulation of pitch is something that professional musicians are known for and if participants in this competition can learn to do it well, it will take their performance to a whole new level.

He Got Timing Right: His singing voice and the backing track were well timed, they went together at the same time, none went before the other. This helps the listener to follow the song easily and understand what the singer is singing. He also knew when to sing in a higher pitch or lower. It was all done in a masterful way.

I think participants who err in this regard can take a thing or two from this. It will transform their singing significantly.

He Sang With More Than Just His Voice: You would see him, at certain times while singing, close his eyes or change the angle of his head, or simply display different emotions on his face. This is something professional musicians are known for and he pulled it off excellently.

By doing this, by singing with your gestures and facial features, and not just the voice, you make you listeners to connect to the music more and feel the emotions behind your music, which makes them enjoy listening to it.

He Was Calm And Composed:Some singers display camera fright and it just hinders their confidence and impacts their performance negatively. @bobbydones showed great confidence while singing.

Confidence is necessary for pulling off a good performance. And you can develop it by practice, by trying to stay confident before the camera. There are also psychological techniques that can help you become more confident, you can check them out on the internet.

I'm glad @bobbydones won for the last week, he sure deserved that. My congratulations to him. I also wish luck to other participants in the competition, may you also win someday. Just keep participating and keep improving and one day you might be lucky.

Thanks for stopping by.
