Just a short post today, as I have started a new job this week and this will be my first post that fits into my new daily schedule. No longer do I have time to procrastinate over my words and hover endlessly over the publish button wondering if I'm ready to click. Sometimes this is a blessing due to the grammatical errors or spelling mistakes that you catch but more often than not, it's just wasting time in self-doubt.

In the garden this morning, I was greeted with dozens of new lilac flowers blooming on the Rosemary bush. I'm not sure that I've ever seen Rosemary flowers before, or I certainly haven't taken any notice of them if I have.

The colour was very striking against the deep green leaves, which also have a very interesting texture in contrast to the delicate petals. (and we all know how much I like texture!)

When I zoomed in on the tiny flowers, I thought they almost look like a type of orchid... and they also reminded me of beautiful lilac swans swimming through a sea of green.

To close my post, I'd like to leave you with a positive thought... a little cliche, I know - but today I'll be learning a completely new skill at work, one that will open up a completely new and unexpected career path;

And while I know I've still got a long way to go, I couldn't help thinking...

'Apparently old dogs can learn new tricks'... XD
