How Easy (or Hard) Is It to Earn More in Your Country?”, share your thoughts here, you use as much words you can and open your mind with all of us here.
Honestly, I don't really say for sure how it is in other countries. But talking about my country — where I've been in my whole life — earning money can be really tough. Permit me to put it like this, making money no be beans. It's another way of saying making money is not easy at all. I used to remember a time when I saw misplaced money on the ground, but recently I hardly see money lying on the ground. The slightest chance you may have to making money requires you putting everything you've got, and when I say everything I mean everything. But the problem is that despite this, the reward you get at the end is not even encouraging. That's one of the reasons why you see a lot of people engaging in multiple jobs because one doesn't just seem to pay the bills. I remember one time my dad was in need of someone to construct kind of a bridge with planks of wood at my mother's shop to enable people to cross the gutter in front of it. The young man my dad got advised that we had to add some blocks to the gutter because if he just put the wood the gutter was likely to collapse considering the state it was. This prompted my father to ask him, "What exactly do you do? Are you a carpenter or a mercene?" The young man replied, "All of them, sir." That's just how it is over this side. The economy of the country is in shambles. We are in a country were it seems like they just keep making the cost of surviving leaves the average person disadvantaged. The 9 to 5 earners still hold on to the same salary figure they were paid five years ago when the price of things between that time and now have multiplied more than twice. For years, the maintained a minimum wages that wasn't even close to being enough for a single person half a month and paid it to people with families to cater for. It took a tug of war before they finally increased it recently. But yet, the new figure still doesn't go anywhere considering the economy of the country. By the time the salary arrives and you calculate the bills awaiting you like your rent, the light bills, your tax and other miscellaneous stuff, the money is already exhausted before you even start spending it. This puts a lot of people into debt. As the year goes by, it's like the the currency value becomes of less value. This have put our youth into the path of online money making which pays mostly in dollars so as to be able to cope especially with the unexpected changes in dollar rate which the country suffers from. A good number of youths now are content creators, some freelancers, some into blogging. But some people have abused this online means of making money to carrying out fraudulent practices. The hardship of the nation has made a lot of young boys and even some girls online scammers. Online scam has become one of the most prominent practices carried out by the youths these days. The country is almost like a jungle now, everyone willing to do what they must do just to survive. The laws are now shoved down the drain because even the so-called people meant to uphold the law are failing in their duties. The state of the country is quite tough. People now who have the slightest chance to leave this country see it as a means of escape and seizes the opportunity when it comes. I think the problem of the country is the structure. It needs to be brought down and rebuilt. I also feel that the government doesn't really give the youth the support they needed. What I mean is that there are a lot of great talents, but the problem is that the government does give us that platform and support we need. They don't really invest as much as they ought to, forgetting that we are the future leaders. All in all. We are still thriving and surviving. My country is one of the countries where we are born survivors. Even in a family of ten where the financial capacity is not that strong, they still manage to eat fine; which is one of the basic needs of human. It all depends on determination.
