We can't go about our lives claiming to be christians but neglect what God wants us to do. The will of God is what pivots the christian journey. There's no one who walked closely with God with strict adherence to His will that all things didn't work out for good for that person. ‎ ‎But when we refuse to do so, reverse is most likely to be the case. A typical example of this is Jonah in the Bible. God instructed him to go to the people of Nineveh and preach to them in order to spare them from destruction. But Jonah, in his own wisdom, vehemently refused, thinking that was the right thing to do. We later on see the results of Jonah's disobedience, it didn't go well. ‎ ‎Most time, our will is only to our own benefit. But the will of God is far more than the benefit of one person, it could be for the benefit of a whole nation, or even more. So refusing to carry out the will of God can deprive a lot of people of the good that God has intended for them. Another mistake people make is to postpone when to carry out the will of God. We don't get to decide when to carry out God's will. The time he instructs us is the best time to do it. ‎ ‎The slightest time we waste could be risky. Sometimes all the answers we need is revealed when we obey God's will.
