Our strength is justified when situations that are meant to make us weak arise. The truth is that we cannot pray against tribulations to occur in this life because even before Jesus left the earth He made us know that such times would surely come. But what we can do is to not let it overcome us. The Bible made us know that we are soldiers of Christ and we see this clearly in 2 Timothy 2:3 which says:
Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. Apostle Paul doesn't just let us know that we are soldiers he also tells us what it means to be soldiers and part of it means to have endurance. If tribulations would never come there would be no need to encourage us to have endurance.
Some people have a wrong perspective towards christianity in the sense that they feel that being a child of God means that problems would never come your way. But that is not entirely true. Problems are bound to always come whether as a child of God or not but what differentiates the children of God from others when the tribulations come is that we are not alone because God is on our side and would surely see us through.
