Kendal has entered the last year of his tenure in office. There has been mixed feelings about his performance in office so far with greater number of the populace complaining bitterly about his handling of the economy for the past three years.
It is believed in many quarters that he will definitely seek for a second term of four years but there is a growing unrest and a common unspoken belief that he will not scale through this time and should that happen he will reject it outrightly.
Just as many had predicted billboards and posters have started springing up at strategic places within the city announcing the ambition of Kendal to run again. These must be the handiwork of political sycophants who are desperately seeking for political relevance.
But that belief became a reality when in a national broadcast few weeks after Kendal declared his interest to run yet again.
The people have become wiser and cannot be fooled again. The opposition became more united, unlike what it has been years back. A gigantic political upheaval will definitely happen this time around.
Then as the people prepare to exercise their civic rights in few days news filtered in that Kendal has vowed to reject any results that turns out to be unfavourable to him. But the masses were not deterred by that. They are out to make a difference and many believe that their votes will surely do that
