My Honest Review of Karate Kid: Legends 2025

I remember watching this and how it is still fresh in my brain and I feel happy to share it here. Just few days ago I finally get the chance to watch Karate Kid: Legends (2025) and honestly, it bring back alot of memories of the old Karate Kid movies I grew up knowing about. This time we see Jackie Chan returning as Mr. Han and Ralph Macchio also coming back as Daniel LaRusso. For me, that already felt like a big reunion, like two world of martial art crossing together again.

The main story is about Li Fong, played by Ben Wang, a young boy from Beijing who move to New York with his mother. He is a such a very talented in kung fu, but his heart is weighed up because of the death of his brother. I could connect with this part because sometimes even when we have talent or strength, emotions and past pain may make us feel down.

One scene that really stick in my head is when Mr. Han and Daniel meet for the first time. They did no fight, but their conversation and little tension was fun to watch. It felt like karate and kung fu are looking at each other in the mirror image, and realizing they share similar roots. It was honestly a beautiful moment for old fans like me to witness.

Another part I really love was the training scene. Li is not selfish alone only him learning for himself, but he also train his friend Victor, who was a boxer but struggling with life and debts. It show how martial arts is not just about fighting, but also discipline, helping others, and believing in yourself. That was really touching.

The last big moment for me was the rooftop fight. Watching Li finally overcome his fear and on using the dragon kick was something that make me almost shout an forget it a happening on screen. After all the struggles, he face his enemy, not just with power but with courage.

Of course, some people might say the story is not predictable or vice versa but just playing on nostalgia. And maybe they are right a bit. But for me, movies like this are not only about surprise oo. It is about feeling, about memory, about courage and growth.

If you ever watch the old Karate Kid, or even Cobra Kai, then Karate Kid: Legends is a movie that will make you smile, cheer, and maybe even feel young again and you will really enjoy watching it.
