Seriously, many people think been a lady is very easy because there are many people you cold bill or task to get you food, money, clothes and other material things. But for me I want to be independent.
And many times people think been independent lady is easy, but me I know the truth, it is not smooth road. To stand alone as woman, to find my own money, to feed myself, is not small thing at all. Many days I cry, many days I laugh too, but all of it make me strong.
Before I even know Hive, my own way of to survive was baking. I use to bake small cake, meat pie, puff puff, and sell to neighbors, schools and sometimes event. It was not always big money but at least it keep me moving, I no beg anybody to eat. Some days I wake up 5am just to mix flour before people order, my back is in pain but still I push.
Later I start doing event planning too. Small birthday, wedding decoration, and all that. It was though very stressful because you deal with many people who want everything perfect but don’t want to pay good money. I remember one event, I work from morning till night without resting, but at the end when I see the smiles on the family face, I feel happy all because I have make some people happy through my work.
But all this hustle still not enough. Sometimes I run out of money, sometimes no sales,no order especially when Schools are on holidays sometimes I even think to give up. That time I was introduced to Hive. At first I don’t believe, because I suffer scam, many online before, but when I try it, I realize this one is different. Hive give me chance to write, to share, to earn, and also meet people who encourage me.
So the truth of been independent lady is this it is hard, very hard I must talk, but it make you know your own power and capabilities. Baking, event planning, and now Hive, all teach me that if you stand strong, you can survive. No matter what come, I no regret walking this road.
