Why ‘Ride or Die’ Left Me Cheering and Thinking Too

I will never forget the days when I watch the movie Bad boys back in those years, that movie was very interesting and funny, if you could remember that film was amazing and very popular now seeing this two people Will Smith and Martin Lawrence come up with Ride or Die, I was happy and am ever ready to watch it.

I got the chance and I watched it gotta say it was quite the ride. I didn’t expect the boys’ latest adventure to pack the punch it did. Sure, it's full of that classic comedic bickering between Mike and Marcus, but there’s also moments that really pull me in.

Just as am narrating to my brother, One scene that you never pray to miss is the helicopter crash early in the movie wow it was very superb It comes out of nowhere, with guns, chaos, and the ground dropping beneath them. I found myself leaning forward, heart pounding. It’s not just flashy, it felt like something real in the moment. That sequence reminded me that when the stakes go sky-higher it states that chaos can be beautiful.

Talking about this movie, Marcus ends up having a heart attack at Mike’s wedding. It’s jarring because you expect laughs and then suddenly boom boom the mood shifts. It’s quiet, tense, and kinda scary. But then the movie is a twist, just for to understand that Marcus has a vision of Captain Howard telling him, “It ain’t your time,” sending him back into the danger zone. That made me think about how even when things go wrong, sometimes there’s a second chance if we’re brave enough to grab it that's a lesson.

I told my brother It made me laugh, for sure the chemistry between Will Smith and Martin Lawrence still hits like it always did. But also, a tiny part of me felt the weight of the story of friendship, loyalty, legacy.

It taught me something I somehow had to figure it out myself that life might try to slow you down but the like with health scares, family drama, or work. But with good friends and a purpose, you can choose to push forward. You can “ride” for the people who matter, instead of giving in.

And my asked me this, Is Ride or Die a masterpiece? And I answered Probably not. But some of the plot is predictable, and there are too many characters crammed in. But for me, it was a solid mix of thrills and feeling. It made me laugh, frown, and then cheer better up again.
