Panadería Venezolana Donna 🇻🇪 🇦🇷 [ESP-ENG]

Celebrar mi cumpleaños este año estaba en segundo plano, había razones notorias debido a la pérdida de mis hermosos padres. Ese sentimiento me impedía ver la importancia de festejar un año más. Tenía claro que no iba a recibir la llamada de ellos y fue tan evidente mi desinterés que mi esposo y mi hija se preocuparon. Por suerte, mi esposo planeó desayunar en el lugar que me gusta y, como él también cumple el mismo día, era necesario disfrutar.

Celebrating my birthday this year was on the back burner; there were glaring reasons due to the loss of my beautiful parents. That feeling prevented me from seeing the importance of celebrating another year. It was clear to me that I was not going to receive a call from them, and it was so evident of my disinterest that my husband and daughter became concerned. Luckily, my husband planned to have breakfast at the place I like, and, as he also has the same birthday, it was necessary to enjoy.

Abrir la puerta me permitió trasladarme al lugar más cerca de mi tierra y de mis seres queridos. En Venezuela, teníamos a pocos metros del hogar una panadería muy famosa donde degustábamos de los mismos productos que ofrece la Panadería Donna, que posee diversidad de comida venezolana para el desayuno o merienda. Mi indecisión se incrementaba, no sabía qué escoger, así que me decidí por los pastelitos de hojaldre de pollo y otro de ricota. Mi homólogo cumpleañero escogió 3 pastelillos de hojaldres de carne mechada. Saborear cada pedazo era comer un plato venezolano. Morder cada trozo me llevaba a diferentes momentos de felicidad de mi vida, era comer una masa suave y crujiente que, mezclado con el relleno, hacían la mejor composición culinaria. El desayuno venezolano se estila acompañar de bebida. Elegimos papelón con limón, saborear lo refrescante del agua de panela de azúcar y el jugo cítrico explotaba en mi paladar.

Opening the door allowed me to move closer to my homeland and my loved ones. In Venezuela, we had a very famous bakery a few meters from home where we tasted the same products offered by Donna Bakery, which has a variety of Venezuelan food for breakfast or snacks. My indecision was increasing; I didn't know what to choose, so I decided on the chicken puff pastries and another one with ricotta. My birthday counterpart chose 3 puff pastries of shredded meat puff pastry. Savoring each piece was like eating a Venezuelan dish. Biting into each piece took me to different moments of happiness in my life; it was eating a soft and crunchy dough that, mixed with the filling, made the best culinary composition. Venezuelan breakfast is usually accompanied by a drink. We chose papelón with lemon, savoring the refreshing taste of panela sugar water, and the citric juice exploded on my palate.

 Mi esposo y yo, después de disfrutar, sonreír y comentar lo delicioso de nuestra gastronomía venezolana, levantarnos de las sillas era difícil. Pensamos que perdimos condiciones para comer cantidades de comida venezolana. Luego de estar llenos y sin querer levantarnos, nuestra mirada se desviaba al ver cómo llegaba al mostrador los dulces venezolanos. Queríamos probar las bombas, el pan andino, el pan de queso, golfeado y el cachito recién hecho que es comida salada. Realmente el lugar fue ideal y un momento mágico para celebrar el cumpleaños; y aparte, los argentinos presentes hacían críticas positivas del lugar. My husband and I, after enjoying, smiling and commenting on the deliciousness of our Venezuelan gastronomy, found getting up from our chairs was difficult. We thought we lost the conditions to eat quantities of Venezuelan food. After being full and not wanting to get up, our gaze was diverted as we watched the Venezuelan sweets arrive at the counter. We wanted to try the bombas, the Andean bread, the cheese bread, golfeado and the freshly made cachito which is salty food. The place was really ideal and a magical moment to celebrate the birthday, and besides, the Argentines present were giving positive reviews of the place.
