Hi Market Friday 😊

I have taken photos of the biggest market here in Cebu downtown during my last visit. I was able to attend the Novena mass for the fiesta of Senior Sto. Niño one weekend. It was the last mass of the day. The rain were starting to drizzle on the last part if the mass. We could not enter the church for it was full inside. We celebrated it near the entrance gate. I felt blessed that day.

After attending the Mass, we were eager to get away from the crowd. We walked the busy street of Colon. Food vendors were lining up on the usually the street foods that seems familiar in any food market. Have you tried corn dog? This is my first time to try it. I believe the idea is from the korean street foods that is love also here. Basically , hotdogs with cheese ang dip in flour mixture then fried topped with Mayo.

We also have balot vendors which I only watched my friend ate. I am not a fan of it though I eat it before just for the experience. Usually, I would go get the Pinoy egg as substitute, I couldn't with the looks of a feathered chick 🐣 😔 huhu..

Then, my eyes glittered with excitement to look more. The yellow corn were so inviting but didn't get it yet, I thought I could pass by the area later on but wasn't.

Mangoes are everywhere. They are unripened and slice paired with bagoong paste or salt. Hmm got me drooling 🤤

The rain were starting to pour but we didn't stop our market tour. We walked more ahead Colon street where there were night markets. We were looking for a resto to eat dinner but couldn't decide where. We were just walking and walking until we were at the end of the night market.

We could only see lots of street foods and drinks. There were barbeque grilling. There were lemonade drinks and fruit shakes. There were local delicacy puto bungbong.

There were Perya which you bet for cards where the ball hit . Just watching and decided to go to another market which is in Carbon hoping to find a place to chill while eating dinner.

People were busy eating and enjoying woth friends. As for me, I was eager to buy a hat for the rain kept going.

I got a hat and we kept going rounds until we decided to try the Carbon Market. Not much of a crowd when we came, its almost the closing time of the food stalls there. We managed to get our grilled tuna there dine in.

That was the first part of the market. Lets explore the gem of Carbon next post.

See you.
