To me many people misunderstand wealth and money. When people hear the word wealth, the first thing that comes to mind is usually money. Big houses, expensive cars, fat bank accounts. But is that all there is to wealth? Personally, I believe true wealth goes far beyond what we can count in dollars.
Let me share a little story.
There was a farmer who worked hard on his land every day to be productive and fruitful. He didn’t have a mansion or a luxury car. But every evening, when he came home, his children would run to him with laughter, his wife would serve him food made with love, and the family would sit together under the stars. One day, a rich businessman passed by and mocked him, saying, “You are poor you have nothing.” The farmer smiled and replied, “I may not have millions, but I have peace, family, and joy. That is my wealth.”
He taught me a life lessons that this story made me think about my own life. I’ve seen people with money who still feel empty. I’ve also seen people with very little who live happily because they have love, health, and strong relationships.
For me, true wealth is when I can go to bed without fear, when my health allows me to wake up strong, and when I know I have people around me who care. Money is important, no doubt, it pays the bills, sends children to school, and puts food on the table. But without peace of mind, without love, and without purpose, money alone can’t make anyone truly wealthy. That's just the reality.
Even within the Hive community, I see another form of wealth: community support and knowledge. Many of us come here not just to earn tokens, but to connect, learn, and grow. That shared bond, encouragement, and friendship is also a kind of wealth one that can’t be bought. The value of connecting with great values of ideas from people can not commonize.
So I am asking you, my fellow citizens of Neoxian: what does true wealth mean to you? Is it money, health, family, freedom, happiness, or something else entirely?
