The fact is that I will stay in my country Nigeria because I believe in this saying that " no place like home" the people you know, the culture, the tribe, the government, the law maker and places can not be compared to any country you didn't know anything about.
Someone now gave me a huge sum of money with two options stay in Nigeria or relocate abroad my answer would be simple: I’d stay right here.
Nigeria is not just where I was born; it’s where my heart lives. My friends are here, my family is here, and my relationship is here. These are not things you can pack in a suitcase and carry with you. And truth be told, all I really need to enjoy life in my country is the financial freedom to live well. With money, the possibilities here are endless.
One thing I love about Nigeria is that it’s a country of hidden gems. People often talk about relocating because they think everything beautiful is abroad, but that’s not the truth. We have breathtaking destinations right here that can rival anywhere in the world.
Take Obudu Mountain Resort in Cross River State, for example. Nestled in the hills, it’s the perfect blend of nature and luxury. The cable car ride alone feels like something out of a travel magazine, and the cool weather makes it a peaceful escape from the city rush.
Then there is Yankari National Park in Bauchi State. If you want to experience wildlife up close elephants, baboons, and rare birds this is the place. The warm springs there are also a perfect way to relax after exploring. It’s like having a slice of African safari without leaving home.
Olumo Rock in Abeokuta is another treasure. Climbing it is more than just exercise; it’s a journey into history. From the top, you can see the entire city spread out like a living painting. It reminds me that Nigeria is full of stories, culture, and strength.
And I also love the beach, Lekki Beach in Lagos offers that perfect blend of waves, coconut trees, and local food. The sunsets there are magical the kind that make you pause and appreciate nature.
When I imagine having enough money to live anywhere, I see myself exploring these places more often, supporting local businesses, and sharing my experiences so others can see the beauty we often overlook.
For me, the vision is simple: build a fulfilling life where my roots are. The mission is to enjoy Nigeria’s richness its people, culture, and landscapes while also contributing to its growth. With my loved ones close and the freedom to explore, I don’t need to chase happiness in another land. The love of my country stays with me.
My Home is here. And with the right resources, Nigeria is more than enough.
