When our daughter, Miranda, told us that she wanted to go to a drawing and painting workshop, we saw it as another activity for her to have fun and explore her creativity, we never imagined that that decision would lead us to one of the most enriching experiences of our lives: seeing her, at only 8 years old, hold her own art exhibition.
The workshop was much more than a simple hobby, under the guidance of her teacher Edgar Pineda at the Centro de Arte Galería, Miranda not only learned to mix colors or use different techniques, She began to develop a discipline that surprised us, we saw how she would sit for hours, concentrating, correcting strokes and looking for perfection in each of her drawings. Art taught him to be perseverant and to have patience, to understand that great results come from constant and meticulous work.
When the day of the exhibition arrived, the emotion was indescribable, seeing her drawings hanging, with her name next to it, was a confirmation of everything we had witnessed, it was not only the sample of her talent, but the reflection of the discipline and the character that art had cultivated in her. What amazed us the most was not only his ability to follow rules, but his immense creativity.Each work was a window into his inner world: full of vibrant colors, characters and landscapes. Miranda not only drew and painted what she saw, but what she felt and dreamed, her imagination flew with every brush stroke, proving that her potential has no limits, we realized that she was not only learning, but she was expressing her essence, her unique voice as an artist.
The experience with Miranda taught us a great lesson: art is much more than a beautiful activity, it is a powerful tool that helps children develop vital life skills. Watching our daughter grow as an artist has inspired us to continue supporting her passion, knowing that every stroke and every color not only enrich her life, but prepare her for a future full of discipline, character and, above all, a creativity without barriers.
