The experience of an analogue generation

“One more recommendation”. Today’s youth doesn’t want to be advised. The new generation shuts itself off and believes that because they were born in the digital age, they are better prepared and more productive than we, the old-timers of the analogue age.

Here I am, wide awake in front of my PC, trying to leave a relevant comment, one more piece of advice out there. Maybe it won’t be read, much less taken to heart, but let’s see who’s interested and makes it a part of their life:

Travel whenever you have the chance.
Don’t be afraid to do things.
Value what’s truly important.
Be kind and a good person, respect your surroundings.
Experience healthy and productive things.
Don’t cry, be brave, you can do it.
Listen to your elders; they hold the wisdom that takes years to learn.

La experiencia de una generación análoga

“Una recomendación más”. La juventud de hoy no quiere ser aconsejada. La nueva generación se encierra en sí misma y cree que por haber nacido en la era digital, se encuentran más preparados y son más productivos que nosotros, los viejos de la analogía.

Aquí me encuentro, despierto frente a la PC, intentando dejar un comentario acertado, una recomendación más al aire, quizá no sea leída y mucho menos asimilada, pero a ver a quien le interesa y la hace parte de su vida:

Viaja siempre que tengas la oportunidad.

No debes tener miedo a hacer cosas.

Pon en valor las cosas verdaderamente importantes.

Sé agradable y buena persona, respeta el entorno.

Experimenta cosas sanas y productivas.

No llores, sé valiente, tú puedes.

Escucha a tus viejos, en ellos está la sabiduría que lleva años aprender.

Bueno, se terminaron los cinco minutos… Ahora te toca a ti…
