Therefore, democratic government is also called the people's government. | Advantages of Democratic System | |--| Democratic government often proves beneficial for the people because the people elect their representatives themselves. A person or family can't control the government, so the voice of the people continues to reach the government and they continue to fulfill their demands. Freedom of expression is given great importance in a democratic government. There, the people can openly convey their problems to the government, for which TV channels and social media are used again. People also continue to criticize the wrong policies of the government, which makes the democratic government focus on presenting its policy-making in a better way. Thus, a democratic government is responsible for the protection of the life and property of every individual and the law is equal for everyone, whether rich or poor. It also includes the rights of women and women are also given the freedom to vote. | Disadvantages of Democratic System | |--| While there are many advantages of democratic government, there are also disadvantages. In some areas, the number of voters is low due to a lack of political awareness and education, resulting in the vote going to the wrong person. The biggest reason for this is the caste system, which forces the vote to be given only to their elected representative, due to which the vote can go to the wrong person. In a democratic system, most decisions are made with the permission of the majority vote in the parliament, which is the biggest drawback of this system. Instead of paying attention to the welfare of the people, democratic representatives prioritize their own interests and consider corruption as their first duty, and are robbing the people of their money. | People's Welfare | |--| A democratic system is considered to be the power of the people. The government makes decisions according to the will of the people. If the people are aware, they elect representatives of their choice who work for their welfare. If the wrong representative is elected due to any negligence, it creates corruption and problems. | Importance of Presidential System | |--| The people of some countries give more importance to the presidential system than the democratic system because they believe that the presidential system can bring improvements for them. In this system, too, the people elect their president and representatives who are considered strong.
