Grandpa never gets tired of sharing his youthful stories with us. Some may find it boring, but I honestly love listening to him.

His favorite one was the ultimate goal he scored that saved his team in one of his last rugby games.

“You could feel the tension from a mile away. We had just a few seconds left, the scores were tied, and at that moment it felt like the world was depending on me. Plus, I had to impress your Grandma. I sprinted down the field with the ball in hand. Deep down, I knew I had this one. This was my moment, I dashed….”

“Guys, enough of the stories.. it’s time for dinner. How many times are we going to hear this one?”
Mom called out.

“As many times as possible! My grandkids need to know how awesome I am. It’s not everyday you get to hear stories from the mouth of the legend. We won two world cups and…”

“It was all because they had an exceptional player like you!”
We all finished his sentence.

“That’s just right!” Grandpa replied, grinning!
