Hello guys! Recently I went on a small walk through the old part of the Belgrade and I visited one really famous place. If you are coming for a vacation to Serbia and you are planning to stay in Belgrade, don't miss to visit Zemun. In the past, this was a small town and it was separated from the Belgrade, but now it's one of the most beautiful parts of the city. It has its own soul and it looks completely different from the other parts of the Belgrade. Zemun's architecture is specific, its streets and buildings will make you think that you are time-traveler and you somehow ended up in some another century.

In the past, Zemun was part of another state. It was on the border between the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Kingdom of Serbia. Zemun was conquered by the Austrian Habsburgs in the 18th century and its architectural style was adapted to the style that was common in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Because of that you always have the feeling that you are entering into another century and everything looks completely different from other parts of the city. It became the part of Serbia again in the 20th century. I took those photos from hill of Gardoš, on the right side of the Danube. You can see the river here. The day was cold and foggy but I think I have made nice photos anyway.

This is the Millennium tower (on the hill of Gardoš). I actually took photos from the balcony of this tower. The tower is 36 meters high so you have a great view and you can see every part of the Zemun. The Danube also looks amazing. You feel so small and vulnerable in front of it.

I am sorry I couldn't take a photo of the whole tower. I just didn't know how to do it. But, I have other photos that show some smaller but interesting and beautiful parts of the tower.

13.png DSC_9175.JPG 13.png DSC_9190.JPG 13.png I even caught the sunset. It was one of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen in my life. I will come again during the summer just to compare how it looks when weather conditions are better.
