Greetings, dear friends, happy and blessed day to all.
This summer around here in the city where I live has been extremely aggressive. We've spent a few days sweltering with high temperatures. It's literally suffocating to walk even a few minutes in the sun. Yesterday it dawned raining; it started to fall at about 5 a.m. I woke up thinking I'd have a very cool day. Some rain was needed this summer. Everything was dark, worthy of a cup of coffee to spend at least a morning with gray clouds and that slight feeling of cold surroundings. But it was all a deception. The rain stopped, and less than 5 minutes passed before the sun showed its best side. That was in the blink of an eye. The next image I'm going to show you was from just five minutes after the rain.

It's amazing how quickly the sun shines after a rain. I think it's mocking us. Sitting in the office where I work, I began to see the shadow quickly disappear in the reflection of the sun. I think I only enjoyed the shade for a few minutes, and that's because there are a few trees around the office.

Even something that surprises me is that in the office I have air conditioning, but it only works at maximum until twelve noon, it is incredible that even with air conditioning I can feel how the cold decreases inside the office, the truth is it gets very hot and this has a small effect here inside, also in the office is a large container, which is conditioned inside but still on the outside it is made of iron, and it is not surprising how hot the external part of the container is.

But this doesn't just affect us, it also affects the little animals that are desperately looking for a little shade so they aren't so exposed to the sun, like these little kittens that take refuge inside some iron sheets in the materials yard, this because the sheets inside were still a little wet, but this would only be for a while, you can imagine how hot this material gets when it's out in the open and the sun is its only roof, many times I have gotten little burns when handling the material because I forgot to put on gloves.

A few days ago, I left work and stopped by my wife's house. During a stop, I told her I felt very suffocated, and for a few seconds I had difficulty breathing. There was a sensation of strong steam. When this happens, you literally feel like you're not breathing oxygen. It's like when you're near something that's turned on and you breathe. Just like that, the oxygen seems to disappear for a few seconds.
No matter how much water I drink during the day, I don't feel like I can cool down, so I brought a strong lemonade and froze it in the freezer to drink it ice-cold. Although I've had to get used to the heat here in Colombia, there are days when not even habit can stop it. On Sunday, my wife and I went out to run some errands, and when we got home, we noticed the outline of our clothes marked on our skin, just like when someone tans at the beach. Our skin was red, but it was more noticeable on her because she's white.
