Adoring the Beauty and Spirituality of Simala Shrine: A Quick Trip to Recall during the School Break

 Hello Hivers 😊 Another day for a new blog! I hope everyone has a great day 😊 Each one of us has our spiritual devotion in life. Our devotion is one of the powerful ways to deepen our connections with our religious beliefs and values. Fulfilling our religious devotions give us a great feeling of satisfaction, replenishing and recharging weakened souls into resilient one.  As part of our devotion, let me share with you our quick trip to Simala Shrine to light a candle and offer a prayer during the school vacation last July.  In getting there, we rode a private vehicle from Compostela, Cebu to Simala Shrine which is situated in Barangay Lindogon, Sibonga, Cebu. It took four hours of travel to get there including the stopover that we made along the way.  First, we stopped at school to pass my important documents to my mentor.  Second, we stopped at AA BBQ Restaurant in Guadalupe, Cebu City branch for our lunch. While waiting for our food to be served, we were strolling around the sunny and hot place with my energetic and adorable little one.   He didn't care about the heat of the sun, as long as he could run and play. Hahahaha!  *He just went everyhwere 😂*  After relishing our delectable feast, we straightaway went to our primary destination – The Simala Shrine.  The Simala Shrine known as The Monastery Of the Holy Eucharist is among the most visited religious places in the Philippines, especially at this moment that its' exterior structure has amazingly improved and enhanced. I was in awe when barged in the entrance since it's been a while since our last visit. It was indeed an enormous castle.   At present, Simala Shrine's beauty is majestic. It is a stunning religious pilgrimage. Its towering steeple, embellished facades, and intricate mosaics produce a visually striking and awesome design.    The Shrine is also surrounded by lush greeny and rolling hills, providing a tranquil and picturesque backdrop for visitors, perfectly made for a good site for taking mementos.     It has a beautiful landscape at the midsection of the Shrine with the “We Love You Mama Mary” formation and the green water that is also pooled in the middle.   Visitors and devotees can enjoy the panoramic views of the vast surroundings. It provides a sense of connection to the natural beauty of the place.    The spiritual ambiance of Simala Shrine radiates a terrific euphoria in our hearts and a profound sense of spirituality and devotion. The beautiful mosaic art and paintings that adorn the interior walls and ceiling are so impressive and eye-dropping that infuse lively and spiritual hues into the place.  Our Simala Shrine trip couldn't have been completed and fulfilled without lighting the candles and offering a prayer. Colorful candles represent different kinds of prayers and intentions. It depends on what your heart asks for. In the candle-lit grotto, thousands of candles were burned, solemnly asking and praying that intentions would be realized when accompanied by actions.   Look who’s enjoying so much with us, our little one 😊. His first long travel.  Then, we went home with a satisfied heart. Moreover, our kind heart with good intentions alongside our strong faith truly matters the most, and thus must permeate within us. That’s all for my blog today.
