Solitary weekend (W/E 108)

Hey Weekend folk How goes it with y'all? Sorry I've been scarce, dealing with life, the universe and everything you know? This weekend I'm all by my ownsome and decided to take the plunge on something that I didn't have the courage to do before now. @janitzearratia will know what I'm talking about here... I had a baby in January this year who has been adopted by a lovely family and he's doing well. People don't know my reasons for the decision and they don't need to, but I know it was the right one for the little guy and his future. That pregnancy wasn't easy as he was a big baby and I'm a small person. I had a natural birth in under 6hrs at a public hospital where I received very good care as did the little guy who now weighs almost 9 kgs and will be turning 6 months old in a few days. Happy half birthday buddy. LL isn't here at the moment and the house feels weirdly quiet and empty. She is such a huge presence and such a vibrant person, that without her, it all seems pretty darn grey and dull. I miss her so much, every moment, but she deserves to have some fun in her life. Life with mom is shite. Having been so sick of late, I've lost a lot of weight, probably about 6kgs so I took the plunge and tried on my favourite pair of jeans. The ones that hug my bottom in all the right ways and the torn knees that really kicked off my mom's OCD. Shame, I probably shouldn't have worn them around her. Sorry mom. They fit me again and felt _right_. They are shabby and hoboesque, not the kind of thing you wear out to town, but I love the way they *feel*. --- --- So I'm getting re-aquainted with my jeans and packing up some stuff that is no longer required. I might take a walk this evening and put my toes in the water for a while. I might go in search of cake or a custard donut. There might be coffee and some yoghurt and photography and art. Maybe I'll be adventurous and put on some music, add some life to the air in my sister's cabin. I might brush my kitten's fur and talk to them, water the Rosemary that was a gift from Melanie next door, check on LL's pea plants and maybe rake up the last of the fallen leaves from the Hazel Pine. It might be a boring weekend of solitude, but boring is part of life, might as well enjoy it before things get frenetic again. Ebb and flow, rise with the swell.
