For the drawing process I made a sketch of a female bust with some drama placing one of her hands next to her face almost completely covering one of her eyes, this symbolizing how double-faced the greedy can be in order to have much more wealth, an impeccable hair and emeralds and pearls around her.
The color palette is composed of pink, brown and orange tones almost terracotta, as my character is based on a red-haired woman, to finish off the skin I used different shades of pink on a layer of almond color that I was melting and giving depth of shadows with caramel browns.
As for the jewels and pearls I decided to use emeralds because for me they are one of the most beautiful precious stones and their color reminds me a lot of the emerald city of the wizard of oz, where one of the witches for her greed for wealth and power does the impossible so that Dorothy can not achieve her goal, deceiving her with her good deals and then reveal her true self.
for the end of this illustration I worked with glitter topped in the jewelry and details like her makeup and lip gloss, lately I love this technique because it makes the appearance of the lips much more juicy and more realistic is like seeing for me the final finish in a photograph. in addition to accompany it with gold threads, to represent how entangled and inside is in that network that she herself wove just to get more and more, greed can be beautiful, can be presented with good intentions but behind that an evil plan is created.
