für Besucher des Südspessarts ist ein Besuch des Haseltals stets eine gute Option. Wir nennen es hier auch das "Mühlental", weil - wen wird es überraschen - in dem Tal einige alten Mühlen ansässig sind. In der Nickelsmühle befindet sich ein Lokal in dem richtig gut gespeist werden kann. Das Titelbild zeigt die Zwieselmühle, in der wie in der Schreckemühle gevespert werden kann. 🌄 🌲 🌳 For visitors of the southern part of the Spessart, a visit to the Hasel valley is always a good option. We also call it the "mill valley" because - who will be surprised - there are some old mills in the valley. There is a restaurant in the "Nickelsmühle" (nickel mill) where you can have a really good meal. The cover picture shows the Zwieselmühle, where you can have a snack like in the Schreckemühle.

Die Zwieselmühle befindet sich meines Wissens noch in der Umbauphase, die Zimmer zur Übernachtung stehen allerdings bereits zur Verfügung. 5 Sterne Hotelzimmer sollte man dabei nicht erwarten. Aber für Mountainbiker, oder Wandertouristen ist es eine gute und günstige Übernachtungsmöglichkeit. Zudem sehr idyllisch gelegen - und von hier können bestens die Touren gestartet werden. 🌄 🌲 🌳 As far as I know, the "Zwieselmühle" (Zwiesel Mill) is still in the reconstruction phase, but the rooms for the overnight stay are already available. 5 star hotel rooms should not be expected. But for mountain bikers, or hiking tourists, it is a good and cheap place to stay overnight. Moreover, it is very idyllically situated - and from here the tours can be started in the best way.
Etwas weiter oben am Berg, und ziemlich versteckt liegt die wunderschöne Schleifmühle. Auch hier wird nebenberuflich bewirtet. Meine Eltern sind öfters dort und berichten stets von den sehr freundlichen und humorvollen Eigentümern. Außerdem gilt auch idyllische Lage, Lage, Lage.... 🌄 🌲 🌳 A little further up the mountain, and quite hidden is the beautiful grinding mill. Here, too, there is a part-time restaurant. My parents are often there and always report about the very friendly and humorous owners.

Mountainbiker kommen auf ihrer Tour durch Tal unter der Autobahn A3 vorbei. Auch der Rasthof Spessart ist sehr nah. Es gibt hier echt geniale Trails und Wanderwege. Beides vereint ist in dem Eselsweg, der auch hier in der Nähe befahren und begangen werden kann. Es lohnt sich! ;-) 🌄 🌲 🌳 Mountain bikers pass by on their tour through the valley under the A3 motorway. The Spessart service area is also very close. There are really great trails and hiking trails here. Both are combined in the so called Eselsweg, which can also be used here nearby. It's worth it! ;-)
