A day in my life as a Hospitality Management student: 2 days Pinning Practice

***HI! ANNYEONG! KONNICHIWA HIVERS! It’s @angelwingss again and today I’m going to share with you all our two days practice for our pinning ceremony.***  So, our first day pinning ceremony was last Sunday. The call time is 8 am and it will ed by 5 pm. I arrive at school around 9 am because I didn’t want to wake up so early and I really took my time to get ready to school, not minding if I’m late because I have a feeling that they won’t start the practice at exactly 8 am.  When I arrive at school, I saw my classmates at the study area, I also saw one of my classmates lying and sleeping while waiting for our practice too start. I asked my classmates why the practice wasn’t starting yet, and they said that they don’t know either. My hunch was right, so I was kind of relieve that time. We stayed there for a couple of minutes before we proceed at the Kadasig Gym where our practice will be held.  It was around 10 am when the coordinator started calling for the students to come at the Kadasig Gym. We stayed there and sit in the center where there is a garden block. A few moments later, our class mayor called us and proceed at the front right side of the gym because our section is the first in line during the pinning ceremony.  The practice started and we were sitting while the coordinator was telling us the flow of the program because the chairs that we are supposed to sit has not arrived yet. What we first practiced was the entrance for the ceremony, the last section exits first and then it was our section that exits. When the entrance started our section was the first one to enter. We remain standing until the last student from the tourism department enters.  After our entrance we then sit again to the ground. The coordinator then proceeds to the flow during our pinning in the stage. 10 students will be called first and the rest or the students will take turns on waiting in line. After practicing the 10 students per pinning, we then practiced our pinning song which is “You’re on your own, kid” by Taylor Swift. We were quite disappointed with the chosen song because the meaning of it doesn’t really align with our pinning ceremony, but we can’t change it for the last minute because the ceremony is 2 days from that day, which is Tuesday, so we just went along with it.  The practice ended around 11:30 am so our coordinators adjourned us early and told us to be back by 1 pm for our practice. My friends and I agreed to eat at McDo so went there. We rode a tricycle and after we arrive, we then ordered. We ordered the same thing, the difference was that I upgraded my drinks into a medium cotton candy drink, which was their new beverage. After our meal, we then went back to our school.  There’s still 30 minutes left before 1 pm when we arrive at school. We sat and stayed at the “Sambagan” to rest and wait for the other students and our classmates. When our classmates arrived, we had a few chitchats about our singking funds because our treasurer who was holding our singking funds tolds us that she is going to distributed it that day. We started lining up to claim our part then a few minutes we went back to the gym again.  The practice started again, and we just had a few mistakes. After we practiced the whole flow, our coordinator then told us to start from the very beginning, from the entrance to recessional and then we can go home after. We then practiced from the start and then went home after.  The next day was the last day of our practice; it was supposed to be 8am - 5pm but then our coordinator changes it to 1pm - 5pm. I wore a jorts, crop top and jacket because it was hot that time, so I was to protect myself from the heat. I arrive around 1:15 pm and the practiced hasn’t started yet because our coordinators was still busy assessing with our chairs that just arrive that day.  When the practice started, we lined up again at the back for our entrance. After our entrance, the coordinator told us to not sit until we finish the “Lupang Hinirang”. He also announces our cue when to face each other, when to clap and the cue when we are going to started lining up for our pinning on the stage. Our classmates then went on the stage and then we followed the same thing.  After the practiced, the coordinator then announced to us that they are going to distribute that day our pins. We were so happy because we are excited to see our pins. I receive mine and was really overwhelmed when I hold it in my hand. Some students received two pins because the makers must have mistakenly made two pins. On of our classmate was one of the students who received two pins.  After our practice, the coordinators then announce that they will send the soft copy of our pinning pictures. We were all yelling that time because we are also excited to see how we look on our pictures. After that, we then started taking pictures of our pins and classmates then went home.
