Filipiniana Bolero: A Cultural Day at the Casino for Buwan ng Wika

***HI! ANNYEONG! KONNICHIWA HIVERS! It’s @angelwingss again and today I’m going to share with you all the day that I wore my filipiniana bolero.***  So, last August 23, 2025 was the day that I wore the filipiniana bolero. I was so excited to wear it that I had it ironed and ready to wear the day before. My dad, was the one who is supposed to drive me all the way to Casino every Saturday, but that day he wasn’t able to drive me because my sister used the motorcycle.  Instead of driving me all the way to Casino, My dad contacted my uncle and asked him if he have worked that day, luckily, he have work that day so my dad just drive me to the church in Yati, Liloan, where my uncle lives nearby and he will just pick me up from there and drive me to casino.  When we arrive at the rose pharmacy, a few minutes later my uncle arrived and we sm then went our way to Casino. When I arrived at the Casino, the guard complimented me on my outfit. The pastry chef also complimented me and asked me why I was wearing a filipiniana bolero. I just simply told them that it is “Buwan ng Wika” and they just laugh HAHAAHA.  I went straight to the office and did my routine. Put the signages and change the yesterday’s events. Sir Earl, the head of sales office was also shocked that I really wore a bolero. Ms. Honey, the one who started this idea wasn’t able to wear a bolero because her bolero didn’t arrived on time. So, it was only me and Ma’am Gina who was able to wear a filipiniana bolero.  At lunch, Ms. Honey and Sir Carlo ordered a chicken teriyaki at Kado, the Japanese restaurant in Casino. It was a punishment on those people who will not be able to wear a traditional clothing. Ms. Honey ordered 4 chicken teriyaki and since we don’t have drinks, Ma’am Gina bought us coke.  I wasn’t able to finish my lunch so I just put it in a cellophane and set it aside for a while. After our break, I went on routing the new BEO’s and Ms. Honey also told me that later at 4 pm. The three of us, will go up in the Grand ballroom to take some pictures because the theme of the wedding that will be held at the Grand ballroom fits on our outfit.  It was already 4 pm when we went upstairs and had a mini pictorial. Ms. Gina went first, then me, and lastly Ms. Honey. The photographer who is assigned on the event, also took photos of us. I got shy because there were quite a lot of people already. After a while, we then went down because it is almost 5 pm.  It was around 5:22 when my sister’s boyfriend arrive in the Casino to fetch me. Before we went home, we went first to Gaisano Grandmall to buy my mom a cake because it was also her birthday that day.  We stopped by on Gaisano and my sister’s boyfriend asked me to buy the car and used his card to pay. I followed his instructions and went inside the mall to buy the cake. It took us a while to get the cake because there were a few people who is also buying. After a few minutes the cake we received the cake and went home then.
