Hello friends of Hivepets I hope you are healthy and happy with your pets.
In this post I would like to talk about something that unfortunately can happen to all dog parents and our protégées, as is the case of pet run over, in recent days Max my sister's dog was hit by a motorized vehicle in front of my house, it was something traumatizing for us who had never lived that with some of our dogs, I confess we are very protective of my dogs and sometimes we avoid letting them out for our fear that something happens to them, yes I know! It is wrong on our part but sometimes our love for them makes us very afraid of losing them because of some carelessness on our part or theirs.
In my city it is becoming a problem the drivers of motorcycles and their misuse of the streets, suddenly everyone on the street has motorcycles and not everyone knows how to handle such vehicles, the population of motorcyclists has grown a lot and in a short time since there have been companies that finance these motorcycles at low prices, and I understand that it is to facilitate the means of transportation for many but many are irresponsible behind the wheel paying them high consequences of their actions and harming innocent people or animals. I think they should be more upright with the laws to motorcyclists and their lack of conscience for the innocent animals that are on the street and that many times are unpredictable. Most of these motorcyclists are deliveries that earn by orders and the more they manage to carry orders the more money for them, that is why we see them at high speeds on the streets and it is not at all fair to feel that the streets are even more dangerous because of the unconsciousness of many of them only thinking about the money and ignoring what can happen to them and the other innocent people.
The most important thing is that Max is fine, thank God! The blow was very strong, he lost several nails from his paws and a pad, I don't want to imagine his pain 🤕, we immediately took him to the vet to be examined, they did an echo that showed nothing serious, the bike did not hit any organ, we were happy because that was what worried us the most! His hemoglobin was very low due to the shock of the blow, he even had a whitish tongue and gums; it was a great scare that could have been avoided, first because I admit that we should teach our pets to know how to be in the street together with cars or motorcycles and this is done by the daily routine of taking them for a walk, and secondly with the simple fact of thinking a little more about the other innocent beings that are on the streets exposed to excessive speeds in places where they should not have that speed.
More than a post I feel is an appeal to all those people who are deciding every minute with their responsibility behind the wheel their lives and the lives of innocent others, and I know everyone in this community is concerned about the same thing.

Let us start by making a world where these animals are safe even if they live in the streets, if we see someone who puts the integrity of these animals on the line say something out loud, let us be the voice of those who cannot defend themselves!
