This happened three years ago! Our son Boris was only one year old back then, and it was his very first time at the beach. I was so excited! Even do I’m 6 months pregnant with my youngest daughter (Doris) this time. When we get to our favorite spot in Port Dickson, a public beach we often visit, there were only a few people around. Some were eating, some were swimming, and others were relaxing. We found a nice spot under a tree to stay.. My husband sat on the sand with our son. Slowly, he put sand around our son’s legs. At first, our baby was not sure. He looked at the sand, like, “What is this?” But after a few minutes, he seemed okay. He didn’t cry. He just sat quietly, and if he got a chance, he also ate some sand hahaha
I was wearing my favorite purple dress and my big red-and-white hat. I sat beside them and helped our baby stand up a little. He looked around with his big, curious eyes. He saw many people, trees, water, and the blue sky. Everything was new for him. But he was calm and quiet. I took photos so I can look back this day, and it really happened. Now, after 3 years, how fast time flies. It was simple, but it made us very happy. Watching our son explore and enjoy, even just by sitting on the sand, made us so happy. My husband also bring him to the water and played with the small waves with his siblings. This unplanned trip, but it turned out so special. We’re really thankful for this day and the memory we now hold in our hearts. And now, when he is bigger, we will show him these photos and say, “This was your first time at the beach, anak.” And we will all smile together.
