Last weekend, I went a group tour to Batu Ferringhi Beach Penang, Malaysia. I always join this group tour around here in Malaysia. I just want to rest, enjoy the beach, and relax." We started our journey from Kuala Lumpur for 6hours by bus to George Town. The road was long and curved. On one side, I saw the sea. On the other side, there were green hills. We talked and laughed during the ride. Soon we reached Batu Ferringhi. The beach was wide. The sand was soft. The water was calm. Boats were floating far away. Some people were already swimming. It looked peaceful. We found a shady spot under the trees. We put our things there. That became our base. From there, everyone went out to enjoy the beach. And some went to the next island with the boat.
Some friends ran into the water right away. Some stayed back to take photos. I walked near the water. I let the waves touch my feet. It felt nice. Later, I joined the group for photos. We posed together and laughed a lot. There was a swing tied to a tree. I sat on it and looked at the sea. It was simple but fun. My friends also tried the swing. We took turns and snapped pictures. Batu Ferringhi used to be a small fishing village. Its name means “rock of the foreigners.” In the 1970s, hotels were built, and many tourists came. Now it is a popular beach in Penang. After learning this, I thought about the past. It was once quiet. Now it is full of visitors from many countries. It has changed a lot. Later, I joined my friends in the sea. We swam together. We splashed water on each other. We laughed and played like children. The water was not deep, so it felt safe.
When we got tired, we went back to the trees. We shared snacks. When we got tired, we went back to the trees. We shared snacks. We talked about future trips and playfully teased each other. It felt great to spend time together like that."As time passed, the beach became more crowded. Families came with children. Some kids built sandcastles. Couples walked by the water. Other groups, like ours, played and took photos. The whole beach was alive with people. In the afternoon, we waited for the sunset. Batu Ferringhi is famous for this. The sun slowly went down. The sky changed colors. It was quiet and calm. I stood still and watched. It was a simple but special moment for me.
Before leaving, we talked about the night market. Batu Ferringhi is known for it. The market has many stalls. People sell clothes, food, and souvenirs. We didn’t stay long but want to visit later. We packed up and left the beach, taking one last look at the sea. I felt thankful. The day was not about doing big activities. It was about enjoying small things. I swam in the sea. I walked on the sand. I sat on a swing. I ate snacks with my friends. We laughed, we talked, and we took photos. These simple things made me happy. Batu Ferringhi may be known as a tourist place today. For me, Batu Ferringhi became a place of memories. It showed me that simple moments can bring joy. Traveling with friends felt really nice. I left with a smile. I also left with a promise. One day, I will take my family to this beautiful beach. I am sure we will all enjoy the sea, sand, and time together.
