As Mia and I explore our new area we came across a tiny wood called Beatty Wood. My Italian friend Paola told me about it, but I also remembered it from when I worked close by and went there on my bike during my lunch breaks.
It is very tiny indeed but with pretty big trees - a little oasis among the houses. Mia and I go there now for a quick stroll in the morning crisscrossing it, making our walks as long or as short as we need or have time for. Perfect!
I do miss Priory Park though, which is not in walking distance anymore.
Do you notice her floppy ears? I wasn't able to cut her hair for weeks because of my broken arm, so they got heavy. I decided to leave the hair long as she looks so cute like that. She had floppy ears when she was a puppy..
Während Mia und ich unsere neue Gegend erkundeten, stießen wir auf ein kleines Wäldchen namens Beatty Wood. Meine italienische Freundin Paola erzählte mir davon, aber ich kannte es auch noch aus der Zeit, als ich in der Nähe arbeitete und in der Mittagspause mit dem Fahrrad dorthin fuhr.
Es ist wirklich sehr klein, aber mit ziemlich großen Bäumen – eine kleine Oase zwischen den Häusern. Mia und ich gehen jetzt morgens für einen kurzen Spaziergang dorthin und gehen Kreuz und quer, wobei wir unsere Spaziergänge so lang oder so kurz machen können, wie wir brauchen oder Zeit dafür haben. Perfekt!
Ich vermisse allerdings Priory Park, der nicht mehr zu Fuß erreichbar ist.
Fallen Euch ihre Schlappohren auf? Ich konnte ihr wegen meines gebrochenen Arms wochenlang nicht die Haare schneiden, also wurden sie schwer. Ich habe beschlossen, die Haare lang zu lassen, weil sie so so süß aussieht. Als Welpe hatte sie auch Schlappohren.
