Hola a todos los amantes de mascotas, muy buenos días y felicidades a todos los michis mundiales en su día. Ya sabemos que cada 8 de agosto se celebra el Día Internacional del Gato, y que aparte de esta fecha, hay dos más, así que cada vez que toque homenajear a nuestros príncipes gatunos, nos tenemos que poner creativos.
Esta fecha la impulsó el Fondo Internacional para el Bienestar Animal (IFAW) en el año 2002, y el objetivo fue crear conciencia sobre la protección, la alimentación, la atención, la adopción, el cuidado responsable, y el bienestar de los gatos domésticos de todo el mundo. Por supuesto, esto también incluye incentivar el rescate, la difusión de los gatitos en situación de calle, y denunciar cualquier tipo de maltrato al que sean sometidos.
En esta fecha también se trata de valorar el importante rol que cumplen los gatos en nuestras vidas, entender y promover la esterilización como medida para evitar la superpoblación, y fomentar el respeto hacia ellos en todos los sentidos. Quizás no todos podemos ser parte del equipo de proteccionistas activos, pero nuestra colaboración nos hace parte de las soluciones, y eso ya es valioso. Siempre resalto, seamos parte de la solución, y no del problema.
Para festejar a mis niños, como cada día al levantarse, les preparo sus comidas favoritas que incluyen patitas de pollo, puré de zanahoria con caldo, gelatina de patitas de pollo, algunas croquetas para no abusar de su uso, y pechuga de pollo. Consentirlos, verlos jugar, integrarse más cada día, y dormir cómodamente, es parte de una calidad de vida óptima. Mañana les corresponde su segunda dosis de desparasitante de este mes, y me tengo que poner aún más creativa para disfrazarlo.

Hello to all pet lovers, good morning and congratulations to all the michis worldwide on their day. We already know that every August 8 is celebrated as International Cat Day, and that apart from this date, there are two more, so every time it's time to honor our cat princes, we have to get creative.
This date was initiated by the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) in 2002, and the goal was to raise awareness about the protection, feeding, care, adoption, responsible care, and welfare of domestic cats around the world. Of course, this also includes encouraging rescue, spreading the word about kittens in street situations, and denouncing any type of mistreatment to which they are subjected.
This date is also about valuing the important role that cats play in our lives, understanding and promoting spaying and neutering as a measure to avoid overpopulation, and encouraging respect for them in every way. Maybe not all of us can be part of the team of active protectionists, but our collaboration makes us part of the solutions, and that is already valuable. I always emphasize, let's be part of the solution, and not part of the problem.
To celebrate my children, as I do every day when they wake up, I prepare their favorite meals that include chicken feet, carrot puree with broth, chicken feet jelly, some croquettes so as not to overuse them, and chicken breast. Pampering them, watching them play, integrating more each day, and sleeping comfortably, is part of an optimal quality of life. Tomorrow they are due for their second dose of deworming this month, and I have to get even more creative to dress it up.
