Blessed Day to you all, happy Thursday to my friends and family. My name is @annahnkot.
Afritunes Week 176 I will be singing a cover of a song from the hymn titled “on the cross”. In my church we sing this hymn very well and the hymn has a long lasting meaning in our lives and it has transformed our lives. There’s a price that was paid on the cross of calvary for you and me and it’s a price we cannot take for granted and the person that paid the price for us is the only begotten son of God, who because of how God so loved the world and He freely gave Him up to die for our sin.

God has been looking for a way to reconcile us back to himself but it was not a success but the only remedy to that was the coming of Jesus Christ, he came and pay the price ones and for all. And we are not supposed to live life without the consciousness of the sacrifice that was paid for our lives. We are bought with a price and for us to live is for Christ and to die is gain in Christ Jesus. All our being and existence should be for His glory.

I’m grateful for your support and encouragement always I appreciate.

Lyrics

Verse 1 Alas! And did my Savior bleed And did my Sovereign die? Would He devote that sacred head For such a worm as I?

Chorus At the cross, at the cross Where I first saw the light, And the burden of my heart rolled away, It was there by faith I received my sight, And now I am happy all the day! Verse 2 Was it for crimes that I had done He groaned upon the tree? Amazing pity! Grace unknown! And love beyond degree!

Chorus At the cross, at the cross Where I first saw the light, And the burden of my heart rolled away, It was there by faith I received my sight, And now I am happy all the day! Verse 3 Well might the sun in darkness hide And shut his glories in, When Christ, the mighty Maker died, For man the creature’s sin.

Chorus At the cross, at the cross Where I first saw the light, And the burden of my heart rolled away, It was there by faith I received my sight, And now I am happy all the day!

Verse 4 Thus might I hide my blushing face While His dear cross appears, Dissolve my heart in thankfulness, And melt my eyes to tears.

Chorus At the cross, at the cross Where I first saw the light, And the burden of my heart rolled away, It was there by faith I received my sight, And now I am happy all the day! Verse 5 But drops of grief can ne’er repay The debt of love I owe: Here, Lord, I give my self away ’Tis all that I can do. Lyrics Source
