Hola !! Bienvenidos queridos visitantes 🌷 | Hello!! Welcome dear visitors 🌷
Hello friends, for the second time we went to visit my friend and see her garden, which she has created using simple flowerpots. There are several plants that are good for eating, and I was very impressed by how well-cared-for they were. Besides having beautiful flowers in her garden, she has planted, over the last few years, plants that are beneficial for her, including edible plants. She also has medicinal plants, such as mint and basil, which are very good for soothing coughs and reducing fevers. I remember many times when my grandmother would prepare herbal teas for me using these plants to lower my fever.
Among the plants we find growing in pots are scallions or Japanese green onions. These plants are very useful for cooking and adding flavor to dishes and dressings. Another plant I really like is large-leaf cilantro, which grows easily wherever I live; it simply thrives in a combination of moisture and sunlight. We use these plants in Venezuelan cuisine, for example, to prepare traditional dishes like beef soup and black bean stew (which we call "caraotas" here). These dishes are incredibly delicious with this herb; its aroma is truly wonderful. Another plant I like very much is spinach, which is very common and used to make tortillas and healthy drinks for weight loss.
Another plant we saw, which is very well-known here and called "big-leaf oregano," is used to treat coughs and is also used in soups. It's a plant with large, round leaves, and it thrives in moist conditions. I think my friend did a great job fertilizing the soil to keep it consistently moist, so the plants don't suffer from lack of moisture, especially those that require it. I really love visiting her garden, and it inspires me to have my own one day, when I move to a place with a bigger yard. Where I live now, the patio is too small. But soon! I'm inspired by her to grow my own edible plants. Tell me, have you ever visited a garden like this? Let me know in the comments...🌿
