Jesus told His seekers that their motive was physical and not spiritual food. They demanded a sign from Jesus, citing the manna their fathers ate in the desert. Jesus Christ told them that He is the true bread from Heaven. They asked for the bread and He told them He is the bread of life. They complained that He could not be bread from Heaven and Jesus insisted that He is the living bread from Heaven which gives eternal life, and that the bread that He gives is His flesh. The Jews were surprised at what He said but Jesus assured them that unless they ate His flesh and drank His blood, they had no life and will be resurrected at the last day.
People seek Jesus today for what they want: Miracle, healing, academics, business, marriage or prosperity, and not for eternal riches. Many also focus on physical bread ( food ) instead of the living bread from Heaven. Christians should seek Jesus for eternal life. They should desire the living bread from Heaven and participate in the things if God always. What are you seeking Jesus for? Do you have eternal life in you? If not, receive Jesus into your heart.
