Man was created on the last working day - all other things had been created before he was brought into existence. Man was the apex of God's creation, the final work on the sixth day. It must be noted that man was the only image of God - he was made differently from all other creatures.
The Purpose of creating man was to "... have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping things that creeps upon the earth" ( Genesis 1:26 ). In order words, man was created to exercise dominion over other creatures.
As a child of God, you have been given the power, authority and dominion to rule and put all situations in your life under the control of your heavenly Father. You have been empowered to trample on Snakes and scorpions and all the powers of the enemy ( Luke 10:19 ).
Do not let fear gril your heart as a result of what the devil has brought your way. Rise up in the strength of the Lord to confront the enemy of your soul roaring at you in your marriage, over your business or anything that concerns you ( 1 Peter 5:8 ).
It is your right to resist the devil whose mission is to terminate your purpose here on earth, whose mission is to steal your joy, kill your vision and destroy you ultimately and he will flee from you ( James 4:7 ). Do not negotiate with the enemy, go ahead and exercise your dominion over him. You were born into God's family to subdue and to reign.
