You need divine empowerment as a true disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ. Empowerment is the authority or power given to someone to do something. Prior to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, Peter was so afraid to identify with Jesus Christ during His trying period ( Luke 22:56-57 ). However, having been empowered by the Holy Spirit, it is amazing to see the person who denied ever knowing Jesus thrice, standing up courageously and explaining to a great number of people the baptism of Holy Spirit, as observed by many.

The Holy Spirit empowers you as a disciple to live above fear ( 11Timothy 1:7 ). He empowers disciples, believers to do expolits for God ( Acts 1:8 ). To be effective witness for Christ, we need to be empowered by the Holy Spirit.
