Well, it has been my mantra to go to new places I've never been. Try out new things, and experience the vibes and excitement.
Amidst my busy schedule, I still have the time to refresh my mind and destress myself. This past few weeks has been very stressful due to my teaching intership. The night becomes day in preparing the necessary things needed for the next day. The day after is a battle to be faced with courage and confidence. Hence, sleep deprived has been waving these past few weeks. Yes, it's a tiring experience, yet fulfilling.
Well, as I was saying, my way to de-stress is to travel or to take into new adventure (as what my username implies). My first adventure for the month of March was the mouth gaping view of Santican, Danao City.
If you haven't know Santican or if you haven't been there, keep reading!
Barangay Santican can be found at the mountainous part of Danao City. You can get there via motorcycle or four-wheeler vehicle, but also note that the road is quiet challenging. If you take the road in Carmen, Cebu, you'll pass through different barangays that offers wondrous tourist destinations, too. You'll pass by the Uragay Spring Resort and Durano Eco Farm and Spring Resort. You will also pass through barangay Corte where you can locate the Benedictine Monastery.
And, driving upward, you'll pass through the amazing Cebu Safari.
It's a good place too to experience and see different wild animals and animal shows. It is a great place to enjoy especially if you are with a kid. Kids would love to see animals in a zoo.
Then, you just need to keep on driving to reach the top. You'll pass through Barangay Liboron and Lanipga. You will also pass by Camp Enzo—a retreat house. And, finally you'll be on top.
At the top, you will see the 360 panoramic view of Danao City and its neighboring cities. Also, a ranch nearby becomes the highlight of all. The Santican Cattle Station brings a Switzerland vibe where you can see greens all over the place. The landscape of the whole place makes you think if it was handmade. However, the work of nature really makes your mouth at awe, that you will just keep on saying, Wow!
Just look at that view, isn't it amazing? Amazing!
While we were driving upward and see where it goes, my eyes were fulfilled by the view that Santican brings. It is such a fulfillment for a stressed individual to be able to witness such amazing view.
Also, the air makes you forget that you lived in the city as it was cold even though the sun is saying "Hi" always. It is indeed one for the books destination if you just want to drive and drive and just want to feel nature by skin and by heart. Also, if you are lucky enough to witness the sunset, you'll see how golden hour embraces the whole place. Thus, makes the place more magical.
I guarantee you, my fellow adventurers, the place is worth it and you would love to go there again and again.
