Hey there! Welcome to another spontaneous adventure brought to you by @annventure.
What a ride! That phrase would sum up my whole experience when we had a spontaneous night ride adventure to Pier 88 and Jones Bridge of Liloan, Cebu.

One Saturday evening, after we attended an anticipated mass, we decided to go for a night ride. We went South, and we pinned Liloan, Cebu this time. The whole ride was a bit challenging as it was raining so hard. Unfortunately, we do not have any raincoats or umbrellas. So, we just waited for the rain to stop. We seek shelter in gasoline stations to keep ourselves from cold rain. If the rain seemed to stop, we continued driving. Hence, the reason why we had a long time traveling. The normal travel time was etched to an hour and a few minutes.

Thanks to the Heavens, the rain stopped, and we could experience the humid cold night at the so-called—Jones Bridge of Liloan, Cebu. If you’re traveling North, especially at night, I am sure that this bridge will catch your eye.

See that? At first, I thought this vibe seemed familiar. And I was right. This bridge seems to be a smaller version of the Jones Bridge in Manila. Hence, the locals call it the Jones Bridge of Liloan, Cebu. It is a good place to vibe and fish. Lots of people bring their fishing equipment here, especially at night. Some also bring their camping chairs along with their families just to experience the vibrant atmosphere of the place. Budget is not a problem because the goal is to relax. And this place passed the vibe check.

The most interesting thing about it is the place's symbolic " lilo.” Actually, lilo is a Cebuano term for a spiraling water current. Thus, the name “Liloan” came from the symbolism of “lilo,” as most of the waters in the municipality are circling or have a spiraling current. It was amazing to look at, but somehow, you could think, is it dangerous? Nonetheless, the whole bridge brought a vibrant atmosphere that allowed travelers to experience the famous Jones Bridge of Manila, but a smaller local version.

The adventure would not be complete if you would not try to engage yourself with the crowded yet amazing Pier 88 food plaza. In fact, the stalls are just new. When we visited this place last year, it was famous for running enthusiasts as the road here is wide and suitable for running. However, this year, the food stalls from the front of the Municipal Hall were evacuated here. Hence, the place became busier and more energetic.

Stalls here are not only limited to food; some offer other things, such as pre-loved bags, clothes, stickers, pots, etc. I guarantee you that you will be full not only through the stomach but also with the eyes.

But...if you are not minding your budget, it might cause you distress afterward. LOL!
So, better be a good consumer and allot your budget to the most important thing.
