Welcome to Annventure!

Wazzup! It's me—Ann, a literature student who feels like the world is ending when I have to read multiple novels for academic reasons. Ironic, isn’t it? I am 22 years old, born and raised in the industrial land of Cebu. I came from a humble family with humble beginnings. I was born illegitimate and have not seen my father ever since. My mother got married legitimately when I was four, and I was left with my grandparents. I grew up hearing the deep words from the oldies, and I adopted these traits. I also grew up with my male cousins, so I had a boyish character as a kid. I loved watching action movies back then, but now, as an adult, I prefer medical dramas like Trauma Code: Heroes on Call and Dr. Romantic.  **Passions and Interests** I am a very passionate individual, but I sometimes have difficulty pinpointing what really my passion is. Did you feel that too? But as I reflect on my past experiences, I somehow agree that I am passionate about broadcasting and voice acting. Aside from writing, my first love, I also fell in love with radio drama when I joined a competition at our university. I enjoyed being at the back and having my voice heard with the passion of a character calling for attention. I also love our Campus Journalism subject, no matter how terror the professor is. Even though my grades were not that high, I somehow managed to love the journalistic side of me.  Aside from that, I also love reading, but not reading with compliance. I want to read slowly and passionately. I also love taking a walk and a run outside. I have spare time for walking and running adventures amidst my busy schedule. Above all, I love to go on adventures.  **Why love Adventure?** Would you agree if I say that life moves so fast these days? We find ourselves caught in a whirlwind of different activities, becoming slaves to the speed of modern life. Sometimes, I wonder: When did life become all about rushing things from one thing to the next? This is not what I want for my everyday life. I like it: calm, slow, and romantic. We are not meant to be slaves to the speed of everything around us. When life becomes too overwhelming, pausing, stepping back, and breathing is okay. Small moments of stillness can remind us that life isn’t just about checking things off a list—it’s about living, feeling, and being present. I firmly believe that going out for an adventure, no matter how big or small, is good for the mind, heart, and soul, especially in this fast-paced world where everyone is racing against the clock. This is the mantra that I want to convey in my future blogs. Life is already too hard to bear; we need to find ways to unwind and relax, and it doesn’t have to be complicated or too expensive. It could mean taking a walk outside, going for a run or exercise, feeling the sun on your face, curling up with a book that makes you smile, or just sitting quietly with your thoughts and a cup of tea, or reading blogs like mine that takes you to different adventures of life. Well, maybe you can imagine what my blogs would look like by now. That’s what I want this space, Annventure, to be about: finding joy in slowing down and reconnecting with what really matters. Appreciate simple things, live for the moment, and be up for adventures. **Are you sure?**  Yes! I am up for so many adventures! I like planned adventures; I like spontaneous adventures. I like every sort of adventure, grandiose or simple, not just with heights. LOL! I also love to go out for a run or walk at dusk. Sometimes, I go to the gym and lift weights or go for a spontaneous road trip at night. Eat fast food in a convenience store while sitting outside and feeling the breeze of the night and witnessing how the night consumes the world, or sit in a plaza across the ocean while listening to the waves. I treat these simple events in my everyday life as an adventure—meaningful and rejuvenating for the soul. When I do these things, I do not have to worry about everything. I just feel like it is me and the world reconnecting for peace. Happy and content. **Reason for Joining Hive**  My sole reason for joining Hive is to spread positivity through my blogs. I feel blessed that I have the urge to share my experiences with others, and I hope to inspire others, too. I am just a simple being with a chance to live and experience new things in life. Hence, I would like this to be known to the world so that many people can realize that it is not impossible to feel the same way. Let the world know that it doesn’t have to be the most expensive trip that makes you happy and content, but the appreciation of simple things makes everything grandiose. Moreover, I am intrigued by Hive's system, and I want to learn more about the blockchain society and how it works so that I can best contribute to the community. This growing community is continuously unique from other platforms. Thanks to @lizhavesomefun and @abbysphere for encouraging me to join the orientation and be part of Hive. To miss @jeannmazing, for allowing me to experience the hive community firsthand and for making this experience one for the books.
