Trip to Cayo Pescadores: A Paradise in the Caribbean/ Viaje a Cayo Pescadores: un paraiso en el Caribe

___  ___ Hello, adventure lovers! How are you all doing? I hope very well. It's a pleasure to write here and share with you a beautiful and new place for me in my country, Venezuela. It's no secret that Venezuela is a paradise, home to many beautiful beaches, and today I’m pleased to show you one of these little paradises called Cays. > Hola amantes de las aventuras, ¿cómo se encuentran? Espero que muy bien. Es un placer escribir por aquí y compartir con ustedes un lugar hermoso y nuevo para mí, de mi país Venezuela. No es un secreto para nadie que Venezuela es un paraiso, que alberga muchas playas hermosas, y hoy con mucho placer les quiero mostrar uno de estos pequeños paraísos llamados Cayos. ___  ___ For my mom's birthday, we planned a route to visit some Cays on a speedboat. It was something fantastic because we got to see a lot in just one day. And although all the Cays we visited had something special, one that left a beautiful impression on me was "Cayo Pescadores." > Para el cumpleaños de mi mamá, planificamos una ruta para recorrer algunos Cayos en una lancha deportiva. Fue algo fantástico, pues pudimos conocer mucho en un solo día. Y, aunque todos los Cayos que recorrimos tenían algo especial, uno que dejó una bella impresión en mí fue "Cayo Pescadores". ___  ___ Cayo Pescadores is one of the cays that form part of Morrocoy National Park, located in the Falcón state of Venezuela. It is very close to Cayo Sombrero, which I have shared with you before. This was my first time visiting it. Upon arrival, you can appreciate its crystal-clear waters, something we’re used to if we frequent the Cays, but it's something you can never get tired of. As soon as I got off the boat, I realized how shallow the water was, just enough to swim comfortably, but the surprise came when I looked under the water and saw the great variety of fish surrounding me. > Cayo Pescadores es uno de los cayos que forman parte del Parque Nacional Morrocoy, ubicado en el estado Falcón, Venezuela. Está muy cerca de Cayo Sombrero, del cual ya le he compartido antes. Esta fue la primera vez que lo visitaba. Al llegar, se pueden apreciar sus aguas cristalinas, algo a lo que estamos acostumbrados aquellos que solemos visitar los Cayos, pero de lo cual es imposible aburrirse. Al bajarme de la lancha me di cuenta de lo poco profundo que es el agua, lo suficiente para nadar cómodamente, pero, la sorpresa me la lleve al mirar bajo el agua, y ver la gran variedad de peces qué me rodeaba. ___  ___ To enjoy this experience, I recommend bringing a snorkeling kit. I used one that was lent to me and some goggles of my own, and I made the most of it. There were many people on the beach enjoying the same activity. I saw many small fish, but the one that surprised me the most was a large one. I’m sharing the picture in case anyone knows what species it is. To capture many photos and videos underwater, I used a special waterproof bag for my phone. > Para disfrutar de esta experiencia, les recomiendo traer un equipo de esnórquel. Yo utilicé uno que me prestaron y unos goggles míos, y los aproveché al máximo. En la playa había muchas personas disfrutando de la misma actividad. Pude ver muchos peces pequeños, pero el que más me sorprendió fue uno grande. Les comparto la foto por si alguien sabe qué especie es. Para captar muchas fotos y videos bajo el agua, utilice una funda para mí teléfono, especial para sumergirlo en agua. ___   ___ The boat captain told us that Cayo Pescadores is ideal for grilling, as the wind is very favorable, and that was exactly the case. We enjoyed a nice barbecue on this cay, and of course, we picked up any trash. We also enjoyed the seafood delicacies offered by the vendors; everything was super fresh since it's caught daily by the locals. > El capitán de la lancha nos dijo que Cayo Pescadores es ideal para hacer parrilla, ya que el viento favorece mucho, y así fue. Disfrutamos de una rica parrilla en este cayo, obviamente recogimos cualquier desperdicio. También disfrutamos de las delicias del mar que ofrecen los vendedores; todo es super fresco, ya que es pescado por los mismos locales a diario. ___  ___ After eating, we continued enjoying swimming and snorkeling. The truth is that going from cay to cay is pretty tiring; however, when I immersed myself in the water of Cayo Pescadores, I forgot the tiredness. I could simply enjoy the beautiful underwater view, take a deep breath, and clear my mind. For me, it was a completely new experience, one that I will never forget. We went on a weekday, so we were able to enjoy it without much noise. > Después de comer, seguimos disfrutando de nadar y de hacer esnórquel. La verdad es que andar de cayo en cayo es bastante cansado; sin embargo, al sumergirme en el agua de Cayo Pescadores, se me olvidó el cansancio. Pude simplemente disfrutar de la hermosa vista bajo el agua, respirar profundo y despejar la mente. Para mí fue una experiencia completamente nueva y una que jamás olvidaré. Nosotros fuimos un día entre semana, entonces pudimos disfrutar sin que hubiera mucho ruido. ___  ___ I wasn’t really a fan of going to the beach before because I don’t like strong waves or deep waters, but I enjoyed the visit to this cay so much. The burn on my back is temporary, but the memories will last forever. I really enjoyed this trip with my family, especially with my mom since it was her birthday and her special day. I highly recommend visiting this cay if you plan to visit Morrocoy National Park. It’s a treasure we have in the country, and obviously, we must take care of it and visit it with due responsibility. I’m very happy to share this unique experience and hope I was able to convey the wonder of this trip. > Antes no era muy fan de ir a la playa debido a que no me gustan las olas muy fuertes o las aguas profundas, sin embargo disfruté demasiado la visita a este callo. La quemadura en mi espalda es temporal, pero los recuerdos serán para siempre. Disfruté mucho este viaje en familia, sobre todo con mi mamá, ya que era su cumpleaños y su día especial. Les recomiendo mucho visitar este cayo si tienen pensado visitar el Parque Nacional Morrocoy. Es un tesoro que tenemos en el país y obviamente tenemos que cuidarlo y visitarlo con su respectiva responsabilidad. Espero que hayan disfrutado leer este post.
