[ESP-ENG] Mes rosa, octubre rosa en Cumaná, Sucre || Iniciativa de @mundohispano: ¿Cómo se organiza tu ciudad para apoyar la campaña contra el Cáncer de Mama?

Es un placer saludarles, linda comunidad. Esta es mi participación en la iniciativa, a la que fui invitada por @mundohispano. Durante el mes de octubre, denominado mes rosa, se llevan a cabo diversas actividades de sensibilización y prevención contra esta terrible enfermedad. Estamos a mitad de mes y he recibido poca información sobre la campaña de este año. Sin embargo, algunas instituciones gubernamentales y otras privadas han realizado actividades relacionadas con el tema, por lo que pude ver en las redes sociales. Vivo cerca de un centro de salud pública, ambulatorio, en el que realizaron una jornada de detección precoz. En un consultorio privado hicieron lo mismo, pero a bajo costo. El día 17 de octubre se celebrará la «Gran Marea Rosa» en Traki. Se trata de un evento benéfico en Cumaná (Venezuela) para recaudar fondos para el servicio de oncología del hospital de la ciudad. El evento comenzará a las 2:00 pm en el centro comercial Traki. Está invitada toda la comunidad. La invitación corre a cargo del grupo de bailoterapia Bosquefitness. [Miren aquí](https://www.instagram.com/reel/DPhYStwgBbP/)  No quisiera perderme este importante evento, ya que participarán diversos grupos de bailoterapia y estará mi entrenador del gimnasio Gym Boxing, Domicio Rondón, haciendo su donativo y dará una clase de taebo. Esta actividad promete ser muy buena, entretenida y educativa. Sin embargo, no sé si podré asistir porque ese mismo día tengo un compromiso familiar. Si puedo asistir, ya se enterarán. Hace dos años, varios locales comerciales aportaron su granito de arena en la realización de eventos y acciones publicitarias relacionadas con la sensibilización. Ese año fue todo muy bonito y hubo muchos eventos a los que asistir. El objetivo de estos eventos es promover la detección temprana como práctica de prevención y diagnóstico precoz para aplicar tratamientos oportunos. En resumen, se trata de sensibilizar, detectar, prevenir y apoyar. Este tema me toca de cerca. Hace muchos años, mi madre y dos de sus hermanas dejaron su vida en el cáncer y dos amigas padecen de este mal, pero la actitud de ellas es fantástica. Mi mamá pasó 4 años batallando contra el cáncer, dejando una familia de 8 muchachos, para ese tiempo yo tenía 22 años. >! [ENGLISH] It is a pleasure to greet you, lovely community. This is my contribution to the initiative, to which I was invited by @mundohispano. The initiative is being carried out to mark International Breast Cancer Awareness Day. During October, known as Pink Month, various activities are held to raise awareness and promote prevention of this terrible disease. We are halfway through the month, and I have received little information about this year's campaign. However, some government and private institutions have carried out activities related to the issue, from what I have seen on social media. I live near a public health center, an outpatient clinic, where they held an early detection day. A private clinic did the same, but at a low cost. This activity promises to be very good, entertaining, and educational. However, I don't know if I will be able to attend because I have a family commitment that same day. If I can attend, you will find out. Two years ago, several local businesses did their bit by organizing events and advertising campaigns to raise awareness. That year was wonderful, and there were lots of events to attend. The aim of these events is to promote early detection as a preventive measure and early diagnosis so that appropriate treatment can be given. In short, it's about raising awareness, detecting, preventing, and supporting. This topic hits close to home for me. Many years ago, my mother and two of her sisters lost their lives to cancer, and two of my friends are suffering from this disease, but their attitude is fantastic. My mom spent four years battling cancer, leaving behind a family of eight children. At that time, I was 22 years old.
