The First Australian Imperial Force (1st AIF) was the main expeditionary force of the Australian Army during World War I. It was formed on 15 August 1914.
THIS IS IN FACT THE BIRTHDAY OF OUR LEGENDARY ANZACS.
Unfortunately, 15 August is not a nation wide public holiday as yet.
Although we hope that one day it shall be.
