The euphoria of the first snow of the season has passed, and the gray days have begun. The first clear white snow was followed by a sad autumn rain, and the days turned gloomy and gray.
This has a depressing effect not only on humans but also on animals. My cats are sleeping all day today and are in no hurry to go for a walk in the yard. My dog is lying in the kennel on the hay that my son put there 2 days ago.
Autumn, late gloomy autumn. Nature has specially come up with such a period so that people get tired of dirt on the road, from the constant rain, from the evening and night darkness. And when people say, "Winter, come to us and make the world brighter," on the same day, a cold wind will blow from the North, which will freeze the soil and cover it with snow. It will get lighter both in the evening and at night. Old and sick people will have their blood pressure leveled and will want to leave the house and breathe in the fresh, frosty air.
But for now, we still see dampness and gray sadness.
Outside, the rain is pounding on the eaves, my thoughts are confused, and my eyes are closing. It's time to end this day and go to the bedroom to put your head on the pillow and start watching colored dreams.
People say that God is giving us trials according to our strength. Today I went to see a doctor and he forbade me to take daily walks so as not to strain my knee, which began to feel mild pain back in September, but 3 days ago the knee refused to unbend and swelled. When we were kids, the volleyball coach told us not to fall to our knees, but we were healthy and didn't realize that all our sores and injuries would resonate at a more mature age.
And last Thursday, that is, just a week ago, my daughter broke her left arm. She slipped on a rain-covered board and fell on her arm. In 2019, she also broke her left arm.
I'm taking her to the surgeon tomorrow for a hand checkup.
And today I'm finishing the day.
Goodbye.
Friends, goodbye! Until the next walk.
