In the October 1973 war, the Syrian Arab Army under the command of late President Hafez al-Assad liberated much of the Golan that was occupied by Israel in the previous 1967 war. If it weren't for the betrayal of the Egyptian President Sadat, Israel would have been much smaller than the date it was invented in 1948.
During the past five decades, the Syrian Arab Army under the command of late Hafez al-Assad and later President Bashar al-Assad managed to withstand the constant aggression by the NATO 'defensive' alliance and its various armies and terrorist groups until last December 2024 when Syria was backstabbed by Russia and Iran, as the two 'allies' were serving the Zionist project.
After the US-sponsored Al Qaeda and its affiliates of HTS, ISIS, SDF, FSA, et al took over Syria in the 13.5 years long astronimically costly regime change operation, the terrorists presumably Islamist Mujuahideen and anti-Zionist, handed over not only the summit of Mount Hermon, but also the entirety of three provinces to the control of Israel without firing a single bullet to defend the land.
